Cookie Policy
🌐 Legal documents are published in English. Interface translations are provided for convenience only; if there is any difference, the English version prevails.
StockGamePlan uses the cookies and browser storage that it needs to work and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
gex_session | Keeps you signed in (HttpOnly; JavaScript cannot read it) | Strictly necessary | Up to 24 hours, renewed while you are active |
sgp_ref | Only set when you open someone's referral link: remembers which link you came from (a short code and the time of the click, signed; HttpOnly) so the referral can be credited if you create an account. Removed when you sign in. | Functional (the referral program you chose to use) | 30 days |
_ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics 4: a random id that lets us count visits and see which pages are used (set by Google Analytics on our domain) | Analytics, optional: only set after you click Accept | Up to 2 years |
2. Browser storage (localStorage)
These items are stored only on your device and are not sent to us automatically:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
gex-theme, gex-lang | Your theme and language |
gex-fav-tickers | Your favourite tickers |
gex-cal-view, gex-cal-filters, gex-ern-filters | Calendar view and filter choices |
gex-voter-id | Random id that prevents duplicate sentiment votes |
sb-…-auth-token | Sign-in session managed by our authentication provider (Supabase) |
sgp_consent, sgp_consent_date | Your analytics cookie choice (granted or denied) and when you made it, so the banner is shown only once |
3. Third parties
When you subscribe or manage billing, you are taken to pages hosted by Stripe, which sets its own cookies for payment security and fraud prevention (see Stripe's cookie policy). If you accept analytics cookies, your browser loads Google Analytics from Google (www.googletagmanager.com) and sends usage events to it; see section 6 of the Privacy Policy and how Google uses this data. Scripts loaded from content delivery networks (for example jsDelivr and the Plotly CDN) may receive your IP address, but they do not set tracking cookies on our site.
4. Your choices
Analytics cookies are optional. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept them; Accept and Decline are equally easy, and nothing from Google is loaded until you accept. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page; withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies. The other items above are strictly necessary and do not need consent. You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to sign in, and clearing storage resets your preferences (and shows the banner again).
